Adding to Customer Knowledge…and the Bottom Line
SSCS offers a variety of training channels to address customer needs.
Classroom Training
Classroom training provides an opportunity to learn in an environment that closely resembles the site our customers and
staff work in every day. Our classroom includes point-of-sale (POS) systems, fuel dispensers, hand-held terminals (HHTs) for scanning and PCs running the latest SSCS software. Customers get to meet other dealers and work in a setting where they can learn without being interrupted. Two people can attend the week-long class at no extra charge when a company purchases SSCS software. You can send additional people at any time as long as there is room in the class. Upon completion of the class, SSCS will send a qualified representative to the participant’s site for two days of onsite setup and training.
On-Site Training
On-site training delivers a certified SSCS trainer or technician right to the door of the customer’s store. Because this type of training takes place in a “live” environment, users who enroll should be aware that interruptions can delay effective training and that it is imperative students commit to providing the instructor their undivided attention.
On-site training daily rates include airfare, hotel, car rental and meals. Travel days are billed at the same rate as actual on-site days.
Web-Based Training
Users learn from the convenience of any PC with a broadband Internet connection when they take SSCS Web-based training. Using a secure broadband connection, students connect to a server running a version of the specified software module. The SSCS instructor operates the specified programs remotely, guiding the audience through their features. Several types of Web-based training are offered:
Advanced Training — Live, standardized, in-depth training for one or more attendees built upon the topics SSCS users most want to know about.
Knowledge Blocks — One-on-one training customized to fill specific gaps in an individual’s knowledge of SSCS software.
Complete Remote Training for New Employees — Web-based training for brand new employees who cannot attend our classroom training in Salinas.
Online Video Training — A self-guided instructional tour of the CDB back office system, video topic by video topic.
