C-Store Pricing Management by Site, by Zone, or Globally
The Central Price Book (CPB) module of CDBWin is designed for the multi‐site operator that wishes to consolidate multi-site c-store pricing management from a central location, such as corporate headquarters, while retaining flexibility for updating and transferring prices throughout the enterprise or to and from specific points within the enterprise. Pricing zones may be established to segment stores by geography, demographics, store type (urban, suburban, freeway), product selection, etc.
With CPB, though a user interface that functions as a kind of “command central” for pricing, an operator can establish pricing zones and change the price of a single or multiple item(s) in CDBWin, then distribute those changes to selected sites by zone or to all sites in the enterprise. Select price changes by department, sub-department, description, U.P.C., vendor, pack size, list price, and/or PLU. Add or subtract an amount from the list price, set all selected items to a specific list price, or specify a list price based on margin. You can even round the price to end in 5 or 9. Select a group of items from a vendor and assign them to another vendor with the click of a mouse.
These can then be imported to SSCS’ point-of-sale (POS) interfaces (pollers), where the price changes can be sent to your POS system (cash register). To complete the cycle, CDBWin can print shelf tags for the new and changed items.
Not only does CPB take command of price changes from the “inside out”, it can exert control over price changes that originate at individual sites, tracking who was responsible for the change and whether or not that change should be allowed to affect the master price book.
Set Up and Track Promotions Results
With CPB you can set your price changes in advance. Just select the date range(s) for the promotion and CPB does the rest.
Many times a vendor will urge you to run a promotion but leave you wondering whether the promotion produced any volume or profit increases during the designated period. With CPB’s promotion results report, you can confirm the sales and profit during the promotion period and compare it to the previous two weeks.
Current Price Report
When you want to verify the current prices of an item or several items across your operation, CPB makes it easy. Simply use the convenient pull-down menu to identify the items and sites/zones you want to check. Within seconds CPB will display your results.
