Inventory

Benefit from Total Inventory Control

The inventory module contains your store’s price book, including every item in your inventory, each with its own unique record. The CDB allows you to access individual records. You can also call up, at one time, records with like characteristics, such as name, retail price, and vendor.

The “by item” approach to inventory is enhanced and supported by SSCS’s inventory control solution—which is the most comprehensive in the industry—and the SSCS poller interface software that allows price changes and new items to be sent effortlessly to your point-of-sale (POS) system.

Manage Pricing Effectively

With the inventory module you can more easily manage your price book to reflect changing costs and updated prices at the POS. It automates the process making it less time-consuming to update on a regular basis. You can import merchandise records received from vendors and identify new items and cost changes simply by checking the items on your computer screen. In addition, you can assign each new item to the proper department, set the minimum and maximum quantities you wish to carry, and determine the desired margin. When the application displays a notice that a cost has changed you can enter a margin that meets your expectations in the Margin field, electronically transfer the new and modified items and prices to the POS price book, and print new shelf tags for them. Often these activities can be completed before the products are stocked.

Know What Is on Your Shelves…Now!

The CDBWin inventory module permits you to identify slow movers, overstocked items, and items that have not sold for a specific time period, so you don’t waste valuable shelf space on items that are not creating a return on your investment. CDBWin helps you remove and replace the dead stock, over stocked, and slow moving items in a timely manner, assuring you are carrying products that can generate a profit.
