SSCS is looking to add a technical writer to its team. The technical writer will be responsible for assisting the technical publications manager in writing, revising and editing company documentation, including user guides, online help, product announcements, and other materials that explain SSCS products and services in clear, easily understood terms.
Candidates for this job will have a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism or equivalent; three years writing and editing software documentation; experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe Acrobat; and should also understand the development and design of single-source document-to-online help sets. Must be competent self-starter able to design and develop documentation sets from scratch. Must understand the documentation process, work quickly, and communicate well with the product development team.
