VS-Poll allows programming of PLU/bar coded items, Grade Prices, Softkey, Feechrg, and Mix & Match files. The user can adjust these programming functions from the back office.

Communications
On site, data can be passed between the POS and PC using an Ethernet cable. Off site, it can be passed using a pair of broadband modems and routers. Information is sent and received instantly.

VS-Poll also allows you to make price changes from your PC without tying up Ruby terminals or Sapphire registers. Scheduler
VS-Poll may be scheduled to enable the polling process to be activated automatically, allowing unattended polling. You set the time you need the data polled and the program does the rest.

Retrieving (Downloading) Data
The VS-Poll Interface will retrieve the fuel and nonfuel sales data generated by the VeriFone Ruby-Sapphire and Topaz systems. Once polled, the data can be posted to the Computerized Daily Book, the most complete daily book program in the industry.

Volume and money totals, by cash and credit, and fuel inventory reports are among the information that can be polled. The Sapphire’s NewPro motherboard contains a minimum of thirty days worth of sales (more depending on configuration and size of sales files).

Sending (Uploading) Data
You can upload new site prices for all your VeriFone Sapphire systems from a central location. This helps assure uniformity among your sites and significantly reduces the time required to make changes.
