CENTRAL PRICE BOOK SOLUTION IS DESIGNED FOR:
- C-Store Operations (multisite convenience stores)
Change prices by Site, Price Zone, or Globally across the enterprise.

This Windows based application is designed for the
multisite operator of convenience stores. The operator can
establish price zones and change the price of a single item
in the CENTRAL PRICE BOOK and broadcast it to a selected price zone or to all
sites in the enterprise.
Select price changes by department, subdepartment,
description, UPC, Vendor, Pack Size, List Price, and/or
PLU. You can add or subtract an amount from the list
price, set all the selected items to a specific list price, or
specify a list price based on a margin. You can even round
the price to end in 5 or 9. Select a group of items from a vendor and assign them to
another vendor with the click of a mouse.
When a price change or new item is detected in the system,
the POS interfaces will import these items to be sent to the
cash register. To complete the cycle the CDB will even
print new shelf tags for the new items and price changed
items.
Promotions
With CENTRAL PRICE BOOK you can set your price changes in
advance. Just select the date ranges for the promotion and
CENTRAL PRICE BOOK will do the rest.
Configurations Supported:
No PC at the Site (PC at the Headquarters)
"No PC at the Site" is a popular method since management
finds site managers spend time on the PC, on the web, etc.
and other computer related programs not managing the store.
It is also popular because it saves you the cost of a computer
at each site which can add up. With this configuration you merely install a modem at the
register and a modem for the hand-held terminal (HHT) that
is used to take inventory and check in deliveries. All the A/P
data is collected at headquarters where it is processed. This
is a very cost effective system.
PC at the Site: Thin Client or Thick Client
"PC at the Site" is also supported for broadband Internet
users. With this configuration, the sales data is sent from the
POS to the local PC where the site manager processes some
of the daily bookkeeping activities. Daily, the data (including
A/R and A/P) is sent to Home Office and processing is
completed. Price changes are sent from headquarters using
Central Price Book to the site PC where they are then sent to
the POS.
A "thin client" is
also supported for broadband Internet users where you only need to provide a DSL or similar connection.
A "thick client" houses the application software locally.
